 When Sierra Vista announced that their facility would be closed due to state budget cuts, the Sutter County One Stop team took action to ensure the employees affected by the closure would have access to resources to assist them as they transition into unfamiliar territory.
With the help of the Sierra Vista management staff, our One Stop services were introduced well in advance of the estimated date of closure. Sierra Vista employees were provided with information on WIA services, supportive service assistance, job search and training resources, as well as one on one staff assistance as they move through a very difficult process. Thank you Sierra Vista for allowing Sutter County One Stop the opportunity to introduce our services to your employees so they could make informed decisions about their future endeavors.

| The Quality Inn & Suites |
 The Quality Inn & Suites is located at 4228 S. Hwy 99 in Yuba City. They have been at their current location over 5 years and are now under new management. The current General Manager is Paul Preciado. He contacted the Sutter County One Stop after being appointed the new GM and placed several job orders with them. He was familiar with similar programs at his previous location in Weed, Ca. but was blown away with the response he received. The Sutter County One Stop listed his job openings in their resource center (Job Central) and also posted them on their website: www.sutteronestop.com. He was flooded with applications and really appreciated how quickly he was able to fill his positions. When he needs to hire in the future, the Sutter County One Stop will be his first call. |

 Goodwill Industries has been at their current location since the year 2000 but have been in California since 1969-70 helping people with disabilities and special needs to become self-sufficient. They help individuals develop skills for future success and have been working with the Sutter County One Stop programs for over 10 years. They accept donations 7 days a week and turn those donations into jobs. If you have something you would like to donate, stop by the back of their store at 704 Onstott Road in the Raley’s Shopping Center. |

 Sutter Basin Landscaping Materials have been in business for five years. They provide quality materials to both residential and commercial customers. They currently have three employees and one of those employees was a referral from the Sutter County One Stop. They are a great group of people and dedicated to their work. Business partners, Johnann Johnson, C.M.T. and Cassie Altorfer, C.M.T., opened Balance, to provide a place for people who needed help from injuries and pain. At Balance for Body, Health and Life it is important for them to provide a warm, comfortable environment where you can receive treatment and therapy to help with changes in your body, health and life.  The Sutter County One Stop, in conjunction with the Tri-counties Regional Occupational Program (ROP) teamed up with Toyota of Yuba City to help provide a student with hands-on learning opportunities. Our student was enrolled in the ROP Automotive classes at Yuba City High School. She was given the chance to participate in a paid work experience program through the Sutter County One Stop. The work experience placement allowed the student to take her classroom training and apply it in the real world.
