“My name is Rachel Navar. I am currently a student at Sutter County One Stop. My goal is to obtain my GED and become a CNA. I took the CNA assessment and my scores were a little low so I was referred to Linda Scott’s remedial class. I achieved my needed scores in 2 months. I start my CNA class next month and look forward to my bright new future.”

“I feel great for being here! This school helps me a lot in improving my skills and increasing my knowledge. Teachers are very helpful and well supportive. They support me a lot in my studies. They divert my attention more to the subjects I am weak and struggling in. As a student, I feel that this course gives me a platform for my future.”

“Driving 45 minutes everyday to Yuba City is really paying off. I started a month ago, September 1, 2008. I live in Arbuckle and I am the oldest in my family. It is only me and a younger sister. I try to do my best in everything I do, so I can be an example for my sister, and so my family will be proud of me. My parents support me 100% even though I take the risk on driving everyday to Yuba City. I plan to be a Medical Assistant pretty soon. I appreciate Linda Scott for helping me and supporting me in what I need help on. She always wants the very best out of her students and because of that I learned a lot and am very happy of my success.”

“Hi! My name is Silvia Vargas. I have been attending a Sutter County Adult Education class since October 2007. I am here to get my high school diploma. Since I have been attending this school I have made huge progress. I took my CAHSEE test and I missed it by 1 point. I hope I will pass this next time. I owe all this progress to Kathy and Linda, they are absolutely wonderful teachers. I love their way of teaching by solving problems and being patient to all of us in class. I love this school so I really owe it to everybody.”
