| Certified Home Health Aides |
Care for elderly or handicapped persons in the home
of the patients. Perform duties for patients such as changing linen,
preparing meals, bathing and grooming. Must be a CNA to take course. |
| Certified Nursing Aides |
Work under the direction of a nurse to provide
auxiliary services in the care of patients, including answering patients'
call bells, setting up equipment, serving food, and feeding patients. |
| Licensed Vocational Nurse |
Care for ill, injured, convalescent, and handicapped persons in
hospitals, clinics, private homes, sanitariums, and similar institutions. |
| Medical Assistants |
Provide direct patient care in a physician's office, or community
clinic. |
| In-Home Support Services |
Assist elderly, frail, or disabled individuals in both institutional
and non-institutional settings. Under the direction of certified
or supervisory staff, perform housekeeping duties in addition to
personal care assistance. Includes Personal Care Assistants, Companions,
and Caregivers. |
| Occupational Therapists |
Provide patients with therapeutic treatments, and assessments of
patients and patient progress. |
| Paramedics |
Provide advanced life support for hospital emergency care |
| Physical Therapy Assistants |
Prepare patients and administer physical therapy treatments, such
as massages, traction, and heat, light and sound treatments. Normally
work under the direction of a Physical or Corrective Therapist. |
| Radiology Technologists |
Take X-rays and CAT scans or administer non- radioactive materials
into a patient's blood stream for diagnostic purposes. Includes technologists
who specialize in other modalities (tomography, ultrasound, and magnetic
resonance). |
| Registered Nurses |
Administer nursing care to ill or injured persons. Requires licensing
or registration. Includes administrative, public health, industrial,
and surgical nurses. Preventative health care and other patient teaching done to promote optimum healthy lifestyles. |
