ROP Health Cares Success Stories and Testimonials:

Testimonials:
Irene Ssebagereka

IMAGE"I was really scared when 3 years ago I made a “big” move in my life. I moved from my motherland “Uganda”, with my family and decided to change my career. I was doing accounting and decided I would like to go into a nursing career. Sutter County One Stop has been in my life for those three years. They have helped smooth my way to success, as if nothing has changed.

All the people I have come across are very nice and they are more than ready to help.  Lisa at the front office, with all the other staff there are awesome. Whenever I go to that office I feel at home. Maria in Job Central (plus others) does all she can to make everyone achieve their goal in life to the extent of giving me a ride back home, in my first days.

Celia Dilley, my CNA instructor was more than an instructor, she felt like a mother. She goes an extra mile and out of her way to help. Pam, my LVN instructor and all the instructors are great.  WIA has helped me to buy all my books, scrubs, and all the necessary requirements to help me succeed in life. They never think about themselves the client is their ultimate focus.

I would like to thank my friend Angeline who took me to One Stop. My WIA counselor, Bobby Chima and all the people I have come across thru this One Stop center. They have contributed much to my life. Try it you will never regret it. It is really a One Stop in life that will make a change in your life, like it did in mine.

Thank you Sutter County One Stop, You are all Team Players!"

IMAGE"Sutter County One Stop is a place for new beginnings. No matter where you are in life, what obstacles you face, SCOS is Hope. The teachers reaffirm that failure is not an option.  SCOS is where I found my second wind and renewed my faith in myself.  It has made me want to excel and share this gift with others by giving quality care in a health care field.

The confidence that I have gained and the knowledge, gives me hope for a future career. My experience at SCOS has helped heal so many hurts in my life.  I feel that this road that I have chosen is exactly where I am supposed to be and I believe with the education that I have received I will be able to help others.

There is nowhere else that I have found where positive, supportive instructors help those to help themselves, such as Sutter County One Stop."

IMAGE"After being laid off 2 [times] in 1 year I decided that I needed to change career fields to a career that was more stable and more recession proof. As a single mom, I decided I needed to get schooling in the medical field.
I came to the Sutter County One Stop and inquired about their programs. They were so nice, helpful, and very positive at a time when I was uncertain about my future.

After researching 3 other vocational medical assisting programs and schools, I decided that the Sutter County One Stop was the best one for me.
I started the Medical Assisting Program and will finish at the end of December 2009. I am so grateful for the teachers here, Geneva, Elda, and Karen. They have made and continue to make my experience successful and enhanced my knowledge and empowered me to go for my dreams and goals. I am truly proof that anyone can return to school after 25 years and excel and reach your dreams and better my life."

IMAGE"Sutter County One Stop is wonderful.

After loosing my job, I immediately came here. Although, I had no idea what type of programs were available, and I didn’t know what I was looking for. I knew that the medical field was an open opportunity, so I seized the chance to attend the [Health Career] classes.

Pam, Elda, Esther, Geneva and Karen are great.  All of these wonderful people want you to succeed. I am so grateful to all of those wonderful people, for their encouragement, understanding and helpfulness."

Belinda Chamness

IMAGE“My name is Belinda Chamness and I am a current student in the Medical Assisting program here at Sutter County One Stop.  When I first began the program I was a displaced housewife and was very nervous about re-entering the work field.  I had not work outside the home in almost twenty years.  The opportunity to return to school in the medical field was a dream come true.  It gave me the opportunity to start a new phase in my life.  With the assistance of my school counselor and instructor, my experience in the Medical Assisting program has been a very rewarding chapter in my life.  I have been privileged enough to learn from some very skilled medical professionals.  I have been given opportunities to learn and grow in the medical field and as an individual.  These experiences have given me the confidence in myself and shown me that I can accomplish anything.  Although it has been proven difficult at times to maintain my role as a mother to three of my children, still at home, while attending school, the experience and opportunities I have been awarded have been extremely rewarding and worthwhile.  I am very thankful for the opportunity to attend the Medical Assisting program and will never forget the value of my education.”

IMAGE“The CNA course at Sutter County One Stop was a wonderful experience.  The class size was small and there was a lot of “one on one” here with the instructor. The Instructor, Celia Dilley, RN, BSN, was very courteous and helpful and I would recommend this course to anyone looking to gain entry in the nursing field.”

Success Story:
Pamela Salacup

IMAGE“Pamela Salacup started my Basic Patient Care (CNA) course in August. Pam was a joy to have as a student and a very hard worker during her clinical experience.  She exceeded the requirements that were needed and was dependable no matter what the situation.  I think Pam is going to be an excellent nurse as she plans to further her career in the medical field.  She is now employed with Sutter North Hospice.”
