How can I register for the Business Classes?
Come to the monthly information meeting at Sutter County One-Stop. Call (530) 822-5120 for date and time. We are located at the Sutter County One Stop, 256 Wilbur Avenue, Yuba City, CA.

Can I bypass attending the information meeting, if I know what class I would like to sign-up for?
No.  New students will be able to get all their questions answered at the information meeting. You may call the instructor directly if you have special circumstances.

Do I have to take an assessment test before I start class?
Free assessments are provided for each student to measure their math, English, reading proficiencies, learning styles and personality type.

How often are the information meetings?
At least once per month, from 12:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. at the Sutter County One Stop, 256 Wilbur Avenue, Yuba City, CA.  Please call to get register to attend the information meeting.

What is the fee for taking the business classes?
Classes are tuition free. Books and supplies must be purchased by the student.

Will I receive college credit for these courses?
College credit is available for subjects articulated with Yuba College.

Do I need a high school diploma/GED to take ROP business classes?
No.

Are classes open entry/open exit, or are there certain start dates?
Classes are open entry/open exit with specific orientation dates.
The student then works at their own pace. Registration is on going.

Is there a waiting list or can I enroll in classes right away?
Start dates are ongoing. Call (530) 822-5120 for specific dates.

Do I need a referral to take classes or are they open to the public?
No, you do not need a referral. Classes are open to the public.

What type of criminal record would prevent me from going through the business classes?
Classes are available for everyone, however, some businesses require that the student be bondable before hiring.

Do I need to purchase textbooks right away? All at once? When do I need books? Will the instructor let us know where to purchase the textbooks?
Books should be purchased as needed, before the class start date.
All the books do not have to purchased at one time, depending on the subject.

What financial resources are available?
WIA counselors are available for eligibility evaluation.

Is the program based on semesters, or is it continuous?
Some classes are based on semester, some classes are continuous.
