| Dulcina Rojo |
Dulcina Rojo came to the Sutter County One Stop because she was interested in finding employment. She had not worked before and was seeking as many tools and resources she could take advantage to make a better future for herself. She was enrolled into the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Program. Dulcina attended and completed the Job Search Techniques workshop. Dulcina practiced her interviewing skills, created a professional resume and learned about employer expectations. Dulcina is currently placed on a work experience at Gaiser Pets and is doing an excellent job.
Dulcina is also very close to completing her high school education. Instead of waiting until after she graduated to sign up for college, Dulcina got a jump start and decided to enroll at college too! Balancing high school, college and a job can be difficult at times, but Dulcina is very committed to making a better future for herself and setting a good example for her siblings and friends. Way to go Dulcina! |

| Isamar Uriostegui |
Isamar Uriostegui is a Senior at Albert Powell High School. She participated in the WIA Summer Youth Program this past summer where she successfully completed a Work Readiness Class and also a special weeklong workshop for Young Entrepreneurs. When her workshops were completed she was placed working at Lincoln Elementary School as a Custodial Assistant. Her supervisor commented on what a, “hard worker” Isamar was and she even received a bonus award for Perfect Attendance at the worksite.
Isamar enjoyed the program so much that she applied for the WIA program again this fall with the goal to pursue work experience leading to her long term goal of a Child Care Worker. Isamar has a great attitude and gives 100% to all of her commitments. |
| Amarpal Nijjar |

Amarpal was part of the Summer Youth Program during the summer. He was placed at Sutter County Office of Education where he improved on some of his skills and developed new skills. Amarpal is a very friendly person and has an infectious smile. He will be returning to Yuba College for the fall semester and we all look forward to hearing great things of him. Great job Amarpal. |
| Raul Diaz-Curiel |

Raul has been a participant in the WIA program for two years. He recently graduated from Live Oak High School, and will be furthering his education at Butte Community College. Raul did not have transportation to and from work, therefore any work experience needed to be done near his home. Both times we were able to find him a job within walking distance, the first at the City of Live Oak and the second at La Mexicana Deli. Raul was recently hired at La Mexicana Deli, and this was because of his self motivation and great work ethics. Not only was Raul eager to work, but was always willing to go to any workshops we had to offer. At One Stop we were able to assist Raul with building his resume, writing requests for letters of recommendation, and giving him the resources to maintain a good work ethic. |
| Erid Fernandez |
Erid came to the One Stop because he had never worked before. He was hoping to gain experience that would help him to secure a job in the future. Erid is very interested in working in retail, so he was given a placement at Factory-2-U. Erid found that his placement was very beneficial. He gained leadership skills and now has the confidence to apply for jobs on his own. Great job Erid! |

She recently graduated from Yuba City High and has been hired at the Fashion Bug in the Mall, she is enrolled at Yuba College and plans on starting in the fall. She indicates she loves her job so much, she leaves half her paycheck there (she loves the clothes also). We are so proud of all that Ruth has accomplished in such a short time and look forward to her future achievements. |
