Bag Inventory Clerk

Job Summary: Ensures product bags are stored, organized and made available for the Packaging department in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Bag Warehouse’s and designated bag inventory areas clean and organized.
  • Verify Inventory.
  • Inventory Cycle Counts.
  • Assist Shipping and Receiving unloading trucks.
  • Inspect incoming materials.
  • Provide department staff with incoming materials documentation.
  • Stock supplies.
  • Retrieve Navision Packaging Schedule.
  • Transfer bags to Packaging to meet Daily Packaging Schedule demands.
  • Respond to requests and inventory questions from department staff.
  • Delivery bags to other Companies as needed.
  • Operate a forklift and other Warehouse equipment.
  • Follows and encourages coworkers to understand and adhere to Cal/OSHA regulations and Sun Valley Policies to work safely and efficiently
  • Understands and adheres to HACCP/FSSC 22000 food safety standards
  • Follows Sun Valley’s Good Manufacturing Practices
  • All other duties as assigned

This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience:
Forklift Certification or ability to obtain forklift certification within 3 months of assignment to position.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Industry experience preferred.
