Sutter County One Stop serves both job seekers and businesses, offering resources tailored to the needs of our community. Our Business Services team can support your organization with growth, retention, training, and staffing solutions. Whether you’re looking to hire new talent or strengthen your current workforce, we’re here to help.

Our services are divided into three tiers:
No Cost Basic Services: Includes job postings, employer application issuance, hiring needs consultation, candidate research and referral, labor market data, job fairs, and social media promotion.

No Cost Intermediate Services: Provides presentation of vetted candidates, applicant testing and assessments, facility hosting for interviewing, targeted hiring events, assistance with layoff and job transition services, HR and labor law resources, and tax credit information.

No Cost Intensive Services: Offers on-the-job training/wage reimbursement, work experience/internship programs, participant monitoring and coaching, and special grants for temporary workers. Programs are based on eligibility and availability.

On-the-Job Training (OJT): Reduce Hiring Costs While Building a Skilled Workforce
On-the-Job Training (OJT) offers employers a valuable opportunity to train eligible, soon to be hired, newly hired, or current employees transitioning to new roles while receiving wage reimbursement to offset training costs. This program is ideal when hiring or promoting individuals who meet basic job requirements but need additional training to perform at the level expected for the position.

 

Through OJT, businesses can be reimbursed for up to 50% of an employee’s gross wages during the training period, helping you invest in talent while reducing financial risk.

 

Work Experience: Help Build Yuba-Sutter’s Next-Generation Workforce
Would your business like to play a role in developing Yuba-Sutter’s next-generation workforce? Our Work Experience program offers a no-cost opportunity for you to mentor and train individuals who are eager to gain real-world skills.

Through this program, you provide hands-on training, supervision, and mentorship in a supportive environment. There is no obligation to hire the participant, but it gives you the chance to evaluate potential talent and shape future employees to meet your business needs.

 

Work Experience opportunities are ideal when a participant has little to no prior experience but is motivated and ready to learn. By partnering with us, you help build a stronger local workforce while gaining access to individuals who may become valuable additions to your team.
