Priority of Services

WIOA PRIORITY OF SERVICE ORDER

 
Programs with statutory priorities must determine the status of each individual veteran or eligible spouse (see definition below) and apply Priority of Service in the following order:
 
  • Veterans, transitioning service members, and eligible spouses who meet the program’s statutory priority requirement.
 
  • Individuals who are: public assistance recipients, other low-income individuals, and individuals who are basic skills deficient.
 
  • Veterans, transitioning service members, and eligible spouses who are not public assistance recipients, other low-income individuals, and individuals who are basic skills deficient.
 
  • Other individuals who are not public assistance recipients, other low-income individuals, and individuals who are basic skills deficient.
