Youth and young adults (ages 16-24) can access a variety of services and resources at the Sutter County One Stop. Our mission is to empower the next generation with the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential for successful employment, academic pursuits, and life decisions. Ready to embark on your career journey? Let us guide you through the process of job searching, securing employment, and thriving in the workplace. Whether you're new to the workforce or seeking to gain valuable experience, we can connect you with both paid and non-paid work opportunities. Not sure which path to take? Explore various career avenues and educational options with our assistance. Eligible individuals may even receive support for vocational training expenses aimed at enhancing employability.
We're committed to ensuring that students with disabilities and those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) receive comprehensive support. Our innovative approaches provide access to information, career development classes, work experience, and vocational assistance.
Workshops
We offer a YES -Youth Employment Strategies workshop. This 4-day workshop, tailored for individuals aged 14-24, offers invaluable insights into securing your desired job. Our experienced staff will patiently guide you through essential steps such as completing applications, crafting resumes, fostering workplace ethics, exploring diverse job search strategies, and honing presentation skills, including appropriate dress. Additionally, you'll engage in mock interviews to refine your interview techniques. Join us and embark on the journey towards your professional aspirations! !
